Wine
Alentejo Regional Wine
Vitis Vinifera - Alicante Bouschet (70%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (30%)
Harvest
This wine was produced with grapes from the noble varieties originating exclusively from our vineyards. After a strict control of the grapes’ maturation in the vineyard, the date for the harvest of each grape variety was decided and the grapes were hand harvested and transported to the cellar in small 12-14 Kg boxes.
Vinification
Fermented separately in our traditional stone winepresses with controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation it went through a short 6-month ageing period in French oak barrels, followed by a stage in the bottle.
Proof Note
Concentrated colour and aroma with notes of jam, blackberries, black chocolate and very well-integrated wood. Good structure on the palate, young and vivid, able to evolve very well in the bottle.
Technical Data
May be consumed immediately, although it may benefit from a stage of 3 to 4 years in the bottle, as long as properly stored. Should be served at 17°C and, if possible, decanted. Considering that it has been slightly filtered, it may present some precipitate inside the bottle.
